You can’t find a job and you need money?
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just relax in our comfortable beds, while the money keeps pouring in?
Unless you’ve hit the jackpot, that’s not exactly a realistic scenario, I’m afraid.
However, you don’t have to kill yourself from 9 to 5 each and every day, just to earn some cash.
Today you can readily earn and make money online from home through a variety of different methods.
This includes everything from taking surveys to operating an online store.

Online surveys
These things are almost as old as the internet, and yet, they appear to be more popular than ever.
There are so many websites that specialize in this topic, but one that’s been around forever, and has a good track record is Survey Junkie, so you might want to start there.
You’ll need to fill out your profile completely so you can get surveys that are relevant to you and your situation.
When you log in, you’ll see what surveys are available.
They will tell you how long the survey will take and how many points you’ll earn.
Once you have a certain amount of points, you’ll be able to redeem them for various rewards.
If you just want to do surveys and not worry about the other activities, then Survey Junkie is a great option.
If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, head over and sign up today.
Swagbucks is another famous survey site that gives you many different options for earning.
Not only can you do surveys and sign up for offers but you can also play games and watch SwagTV. There are also several options for cashing-out. For example, you can use PayPal or go with a gift card.
They have a lot of different businesses to choose from, including Amazon, Walmart, and Target.
You could even choose to use your earnings as a donation to one of the many charities they offer.
If you’re more of a physical item person then you’re in luck because you can also use your earnings for merchandise.
Head over to the website and sign up today.
Here is a list of other survey sites that pay well:
- Branded Surveys
- MyPoints
- InboxDollars
- KashKick (see our full KashKick review)
- Zap Surveys (read our in depth Zap Surveys review)
This thing is perfect for when you have plenty of time to burn, because it requires close to no energy, and offers some neat rewards.
Play Games For Money
The concept behind these apps is really simple: just download the app, select games to play, and start earning points in the background.
Points can be redeemed for a wide variety of gift cards or PayPal cash.
Some of my favorite apps are:
- Mistplay: Mistplay is a free Android app that rewards users with free gift cards for playing a variety of mobile games.
- Cashyy: Cashyy is an Android gaming rewards app that lets you earn PayPal money and a variety of gift cards for downloading and playing new mobile games. You’re getting paid to download mobile games and to play them. The more games you download and the longer you play, the more you earn.
- Solitaire Cash: Solitaire Cash is an iOS and Samsung game lets you play Solitaire for money. The app lets you compete in cash tournaments against other players of similar skill levels. Tournament games cost money to enter and pay anywhere from $1 to $55+.
- Swagbucks: As mentioned above, Swagbucks has a section that pays you to play new games.
Invest in stocks
To most people, stocks are like legalized gambling.
You never really know what’s about to happen, but if the lady luck smiles on you, chances are that you’ll become a whole lot wealthier when you woke up that morning.
Still, there is a science to these things, and if you dedicate enough time to it, you just might become a mogul in a couple of years.
The best way in my eyes is to start off small with micro investing platforms like Stash and Acorns.

Deliver food
Food delivery is an industry branch that’s never going to fail.
If there’s something that you can bet your life savings on, it’s that there will always be plenty of people too lazy to cook their own food.
That’s when you can fill in the need by applying for services such as DoorDash and Instacart bringing food and groceries right to the doorstep.
If you’re a good driver that always delivers on time, you’ll be able to live off of tips alone.

Use Apps that pay you money
- Acorns gives you $5 when you sign up and invest $10
- Sign up for Swagbucks and get $5
- Sign up for Rakuten and get your $10 bonus
- Sign up for Drop and cash rewards for the spending you do every day
- Sign up for Ibotta and get cash back on groceries and other stuff you buy
Btw, sign up for any and all rewards programs anywhere you shop or eat – most places have them.
Data entry
Yep, it’s boring, that’s why no one wants to do it. Still, guess what, that is also the very reason why it’s in such high demand.
Let’s face it, no one can work this sort of job for many years and still retain sanity.
However, if you’re in need of quick cash, and you don’t mind the repetitive nature of the business, there are only a few gigs that can rival data entry.

Dog Walking
Yet another niche job to earn some money without a real job, but this one is intended for people who enjoy the company of pooches.
Just a couple of walks around the block can earn you some decent pocket money, as well as encourage you to work out more.

YouTube content creation
Some content creators consider this a full-time job. However, you don’t have to be all that invested at the start. Just do it at your own pace, and collect subscribers as you go.
Judging from other people’s experiences, success comes when you least expect it, as it’s very hard to determine when a certain video is gonna go viral. Just keep at it and hope for the best.

List a room on Airbnb
Looking to earn extra money without a job? The simplest way to do so is by listing your property on Airbnb.
As far as the safest ways to earn additional income go, this has to rank near the very top. So, if you happen to live in a cool neighborhood, or if you have an empty room to spare, you might want to consider investing in this move.
It can pay off, big time.
Rent out the equipment you don’t use
Not much of a handyman, but you still happen to have a garage full of tools you never get a chance to put into use? Who are you kidding, it’s not like you’ll ever going to get around to doing it.
You might as well rent it to people in need, and turn in a decent profit at the end of the month. Your hands will stay clean, you’ll help someone else get the job done and make quick cash. Perfect.
Start a blog
Sure, millions have already attempted to start a blog with the intent to turn it into profit, and failed miserably.
What makes you different? Well, you can take on a different approach.
Stick to the topics that generally interest you, and just write for fun every other day, or when you start feeling stressed.
In no time, you’ll have plenty of content, but then comes the tricky part of promoting it to people.
Still, if you’re willing to put in the time, who knows what your ceiling might be.

Write a book
If digital media aren’t your thing, and you prefer to stay in your lane and write fiction on a piece of paper, be my guest.
What’s the worst thing that can happen?
You might hit writer’s block or two, but the important thing is to push through it.
The truth is that most published authors face these challenges every single day, but they don’t just curl up and go to bed.
At the very least, you will have a fantastic outlet for your creativity. Time well spent, if you ask me.
Get into the retail business
Are you a talented salesman that can sell anything imaginable just by charming your way through your customers’ impulsive purchase defensive mechanisms?
No?
The good news is that you don’t have to be.
If you have quality goods, there’s a great chance that someone will want to buy them, it’s a simple supply and demand chain.
Get your hands on some desirable stuff, and the customers will soon start flocking in.
Lend money
Lending money to family and friends brings you nothing but trouble. On the other side, lending to strangers will bring you a decent profit, if you do so on one of the trading platforms, such as the Lending Club.
It brings certain risks but also serves as a relatively safe way to make money without a real job while doing absolutely nothing.

Rent your parking spot
Overpopulation is present on virtually every continent, and there are more cars now on the roads than ever before.
Along with this progress came insane traffic jams, so it shocks no one that parking spots are incredibly difficult to find, especially around the busy city center.
If you have a free spot, and you’re not a driver, you can rent it with one of the many apps which serve this purpose perfectly.
You wouldn’t even have to move a finger, and you’ll get the deposits directly to your accounts. Easy peasy lemon squeezy – simple way to make money without working.
Visit thrift shops and resell stuff
Once again, a simple principle of buying low and selling high, there’s nothing more to it.
Thrift stores are filled with gold, you just need to know where to dig it.
Not only that you can turn in a decent profit from time to time, but you can also find plenty of good quality clothes for yourself if you aren’t squeamish about that sort of thing.
What are you waiting for?
Go, buy items at thrift stores for a dollar or two, and list them on eBay for $25+. People have turned $20 into a 6 figure business.
Sell your old notes and books
Do you still have some of your old college or even high school books and notes in the garage?
There’s a 99% chance you’ll never get to open them anyways.
Why would you? On the other side, why let such a moneymaking scheme go to waste?
More than a handful of students would like to get their hands on those notes and are willing to pay handsomely for your service as well.
Review websites
Beta websites are still new, and as such, require a lot of user data that can only be collected after some time.
To avoid the unnecessary wait, developers hire a bunch of people to check it out and give pointers on how the user experience can be improved.
You don’t have to possess any technical knowledge to score this kind of job either; you just have to be in the right place at the right time.
An easy way to get money without a job.
Fiverr
As one of the oldest online platforms to offer jobs to freelancers of all skills, Fiverr has for years gathered younger audiences looking to earn some additional scratch.
With the change in their policy, in came the older crowd, and the rates improved significantly as well.
Nowadays, Fiverr is more than a viable way to earn money without a job, as well as a destination for those looking to grab something extra money on the side without a real job.
Getting Started: Make Money on Fiverr
Review music
You don’t have to play an instrument. You don’t have to sing.
The only requirement is to like listening to new, undiscovered artists, and to possess the ability to give out constructive criticism.
In the beginning, they pay is rather lame, but as you move up in ranks, things get better. Either way, it’s a nice way to turn a hobby into profit.
Become a tutor
The joy of helping someone is the best thing in the world.
If you have plenty of knowledge on a specific subject, and you don’t mind a little human interaction, you might want to consider becoming a part-time tutor.
The pay is good, and the job is also kinda rewarding. It’s a win-win situation.
Buy and sell domain names
This option is also a bit of a gamble.
To be more specific, it’s actually a well-conceived waiting game.
It consists of obtaining a domain name for close to nothing and then selling it afterward for a higher profit to companies and individuals in need.
Still, it’s far from a safe investment, so I wouldn’t put all of my hopes into it.
Become an extra on a movie set
OK, don’t get your hopes up, you probably won’t get a chance to meet your favorite Hollywood actor.
However, you will get a chance to see how the movie industry works and also get paid to do close to nothing.
It beats breaking your back on a construction site, that’s for sure.
Sell stock photos
I’m not even gonna lie, selling stock photos was a much easier job back in the day.
Nowadays, cameras are very affordable, so naturally, the competition is also much stiffer. Plus, there is an abundance of free stock photography websites that also worsen the chances of making a profit.
However, if you stand out among the rest, it’s still a viable option to earn some easy money.
Try your luck on websites such as Shutterstock and make good money without a full time job if you’ve got what it takes.
Do shopping for other people
Go shopping and get rewarded?
Sounds like something isn’t right. Well, the truth is that this kind of shopping doesn’t satisfy your needs, as you’ll be getting the items for someone else.
Naturally, you’ll get compensated for your efforts, so that’s at least a positive.
Become a street performer
Any hidden talents for the world to see?
Now would be your time to shine. Magicians, musicians, and dancers usually take home the biggest prizes, and if you happen to own any of these skills, and you aren’t a naturally shy person, why not give it a go?
Babysitting
If you enjoy taking care of the little ones, why not do it professionally?
Sure, babysitting for your friends and relatives is a given, but why not branch out and earn some money along the way?
I understand that this job is not for everyone, but it can be a viable option, especially for young teenage girls to make some money.

Design prints for t-shirts
With all the latest drawing software, you don’t have to be an artist, or even particularly talented to create amazing designs.
If you transfer it to t-shirts and focus on marketing, you can earn decent money from your work.
Getting Started: How to Start a Tee-Shirt Business
Install software for your neighbors
We all have elderly neighbors who aren’t so good with computers, living right next door.
If you can advertise yourself as a sort of neighborhood IT specialist, you’ll have plenty of assignments for years to come.
Best of all, it’s the easiest job in the world.
Sell your video game character
The online video game community is massive, with millions of players from around the world.
All of those players love to play the game with their character on the max level, but not all are willing to invest the time in order to achieve such a thing.
High ranked characters don’t come cheap, and while it might be boring leveling up and getting there, the end result is well worth it.
Test your knowledge on a game show
Have you ever watched a game show, thinking you could’ve done better than all of the contestants?
If so, then you better put your money where your mouth is, and test your knowledge.
At the very least, you’ll have plenty of fun, and if the questions are just right, you might earn a pretty penny as well.
Snow shoveling
It goes without saying that this only relates to those individuals that live in areas with colder climates.
Looking at a nice snowy scenery is especially nice if you do so from your warm home, with a cup of hot chocolate in your hand.
However, if you need to shovel the damn thing all the time, it doesn’t appear so magical after all but it’s an honest way to earn some cash without a job, you have to admit that.
Become a handyman
For those who know their way around the hammer, here’s a job that’s super easy to make money outside of your day job.
Every good neighborhood needs a handyman or two, just to keep the maintenance in check, and you might just fulfill that role.
Clean houses
If you aren’t all that into hard work but still don’t want to sit behind a TV screen all day long, you can try to clean houses for money.
God knows how busy and hectic life can be these days, and chances are you’ll have no problems finding individuals in dire need of this service.
I know that it’s not exactly a glamorous job, but it won’t break your back either, and the pay can be more than decent for just a couple-hour-long gig.
Rent baby gear
Rent baby gear to people. Depending on your location you can do well!
If you are in a beach area or near Orlando it can become a full-time job.
