The famous saying goes that one usually gets what he paid for, but that doesn’t stop people from constantly trying to beat the system.
As popular brand items seem to skyrocket in price each and every day, but there are a lot of alternatives coming up at the other end of the spectrum.
Apps such as Wish are definitely stirring up the pot. But, is it any good? Today we’ll find out with a quick Wish review and what are the best things to buy on Wish App!
Incredible discounts that are not as amazing as they seem
The moment you open the app, your eyes will immediately be drawn to the insane discounts, on virtually every product. With a discount of 97%, you’d be crazy not to buy everything you can, right? Think again.
You’ll quickly realize that most of those “original” prices are inflated to the moon and back, as sellers can basically put whatever they want in there.
With that in mind, I would advise you to only look at the current price, and ignore the incredible discounts, or you’ll be in for quite a shock.
Furthermore, another thing you shouldn’t take lightly is the shipping costs! Just because you’ve found a T-shirt for $1, it doesn’t mean you’ll strike a bargain.

But, is the quality up to par?
Once again, I wish I could give you a simple answer.
As with most of these online shopping websites and apps, it seems that at the end of the day, it usually just comes down to how lucky you are.
Whatever the case may be, it’s always smart to stick to sellers and products with the highest number of positive reviews.
You will also want to take a peek at photos of the product taken by customers, and compare whether or not they look similar to the actual items.
When it comes to my own experience, I found myself to be quite happy with some cheap watches, home goods and baby clothes I bought. On the contrary, the clothing items I bought for myself weren’t really up to par, and they were quite small in size, despite the measurements which can be found in the app.
I heard a lot of terrible things regarding their gadgets and tech wear, so I decided to stay away from it. Have you had any experience with it? Are the horror stories just another example of exaggeration?

How long does it take to get things from Wish?
They advertise about how their shipping time is a few weeks. So if you get mad over the shipping time, that’s kinda your own fault. If you want faster shipping, shop on Amazon.
In most cases, it takes about two weeks for the product to reach your destination, which is not better compared to the competition. To be honest, I had the luck of receiving my items ahead of schedule, which was a nice surprise.
Naturally, this wasn’t always the case. A few times, the products were terribly late, or even worse, went missing. Luckily, I immediately contacted the seller, and received reimbursement on the very same day.
There is also a possibility of express shipping, but consider whether or not you actually need to use this feature, as it’s not exactly cheap.
Can you shop safely on Wish?
Yes and no. You see, when it comes to payment, there shouldn’t be any issues. You can pay through your PayPal account or by using your credit and debit cards. Oh yeah, let’s also not forget about the Google Wallet.
Unfortunately, problems can be found elsewhere. You see, while most products that can be found on Wish are fairly cheap, and come from China, despite the company was actually founded by software engineers from Silicon Valley.
The hidden catch here is that Wish tracks down their customers’ buying habits, and uses that data to display personalized ads across social media platforms.
You might not even know it, but you’re being targeted while just browsing through the app. When it comes to me personally, I don’t really have a problem with it, but don’t say I haven’t warned you.
Would I recommend using this platform?
The truth is that most products from Wish can also be found on other platforms, such as Amazon or AliExpress. The quality is identical, heck, even the sellers are pretty much the same, so check out the prices before you make the final call.
You can get a lot for cheap, if you know what to look for. Happy shopping!
The Best Products to buy on Wish
So, you’ve decided to give Wish a go, but you don’t know where to start.
Ultimately, all of the items are so heavily discounted, you just want to buy them all! However, be patient, you wouldn’t want to just throw your money away.
If you’ve decided to use this platform, stick to items that offer the best value for money. But, what are the best things to buy on Wish? Let’s have a closer look, shall we?
If you consider yourself a true DIY expert, you know that it’s always a good time to do some home improvements. You can find plenty of dirty cheap accessory items on Wish that will help you refresh the look of your tired old living room.
You can do a lot with just a few bucks to spare.
While you’re at it, why not buy some cheap jewelry to surprise your significant other, or perhaps reward yourself for your troubles.
Do I even have to mention that you need to avoid expensive items at all costs, as you risk being seriously disappointed if things don’t go your way?
Instead, only spend as much as you can afford to lose, and you’ll be in a good position no matter what happens.
Mason jar stickers and pantry organizers
Now, I know that these are actually two items packed into one section, but they work best in pairs. What’s more, they can be found for just $1 or two on Wish, so it’s not like they will put you into debt or anything.
In case you ever felt the desire to organize your pantry, this can be a fun little project to set you going in the right direction.
There are literally thousands of models available, all you have to do is find the one that matches your needs, and fill it up with some flowers once it gets delivered.
Speaking of flowers, there are a lot of fake plastic ones to be found on Wish, and if you don’t want to go through the hassle of having to water your plants regularly, and just want a quick solution, you might want to check those out as well.
Cell phone cables
No matter how much I pay attention to these things, it seems that they magically disappear to a place unknown. Even worse, they tend to break down at the most inconvenient times, such as while you’re on holiday.
Buy a cable or two to have as spare parts just in case. You never know when you might need one.
I was quite positively surprised by the quality of clothes that can be purchased through Wish. Well, to be more specific, I am talking about children’s clothes, as mine never seemed to fit properly, no matter if I ordered one or several sizes bigger than what I originally wear.
However, kids grow out of their clothes fairly quickly, so it’s not a bad idea to save up a few dollars by getting them some of these affordable items.
Hats and scarves
How can you go wrong with hats and scarves?
We all need warm winter clothes from time to time, and if you shop on Wish you can get yours for just a couple bucks a pop.
What’s more, the overall quality tends to be fairly decent.
Any athletes among you?
If you are getting up there in age, such as yours truly, you also probably have an injury or two that’s just nagging and won’t go away.
Perhaps a solution to your problems can be found in compression clothing, to keep those old squeaky tendons in place. Head over to Wish and see what’s available.
While LED bulbs can set you back quite a bit in case you decide to shop at your local store, the situation is a lot different when it comes to online shopping.
You can get these bad boys for under a dollar, if you buy them in large packs.
What’s surprising is the quality, which is not bad at all. Believe me, it’s basically the same product as the one in your local store, but this one will set you back only a fraction of the cost.
Don’t get me wrong, you won’t exactly get a chance to buy designer watches on Wish. If you wanted that, you’re in the wrong place.
However, if you don’t consider yourself an enthusiast, and all you want is some nice bling to put on your wrist, which will also work decently, you’ve found your match!
This is just the sort of thing that you can plan in advance for, and order up ahead of time. It’s worth spending a couple of bucks on, and it will probably put a smile on your face. What’s there to lose?
